SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – The best chance for storms will be Sunday through Wednesday, with each day bringing scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms in the afternoons. Some of these storms could be on the stronger side, especially Sunday and Monday when we could see gusty winds and heavy downpours. Slow-moving storms could lead to localized flooding in areas with poor drainage, so stay weather aware if you’re in those spots.
By Thursday, conditions change. A cold front will push through and help dry things out a bit. Dew points could drop into the 60s by the end of the week, which will make it feel more comfortable. Rain chances plummet into next weekend.
