A fatal crash temporarily closed South County Road 39 in both directions between State Road 674 and Carlton Road in Manatee County on Saturday. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office advised drivers to use an alternate route while the closure remained in effect.
The sheriff’s office later reported that all roads had reopened, allowing traffic to resume through the affected stretch. The agency’s alert did not identify the person who died, the number of vehicles involved, or what caused the crash.
