VENICE, Fla. (WWSB) – The City of Venice and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District will hold a ribbon-cutting Friday to mark the completion of the third periodic renourishment of Venice Beach.
The project restored approximately 3.2 miles of shoreline from just south of Venice Inlet to just south of the Venice Fishing Pier, according to USACE.
The project has included intermittent beach and parking restrictions, and temporary closure at Brohard Paw Park. Work is now expected to be completed…
