SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – A Catholic pilgrimage traveling up the East Coast is making its way through Savannah Wednesday as part of the 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage, a six-week journey from St. Augustine, Florida, to Philadelphia.
The Diocese of Savannah route began Monday after the pilgrimage was transferred from the Diocese of St. Augustine. The group traveled through Brunswick and Darien Tuesday before arriving in Savannah. The pilgrims are expected to transfer to the Diocese of Charleston Thursday.
Organizers say the pilgrimage is tied to the broader National Eucharistic Revival and is also being held in connection with America’s 250th anniversary. This year’s theme is “One Nation Under God.”…
