SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Southern rock and roll royalty was celebrated Wednesday at the Lucas Theater in Savannah.
Music fans came out for the Savannah premiere of “Gregg Allman: The Music of My Soul,” a biographical film of the late blues artist who spent his last 20 years as a Coastal Empire resident.
Allman’s longtime manager and life-long friend Michael Lehman introduced the film and shared how premiering it in Savannah was a natural choice.
“After decades of touring the world, Savannah gave Gregg something rare: a place to exhale, reflect, create and enjoy life. This city became part of his story…and he became part of Savannah,” Lehman said to the audience…
