Lowcountry business donates mattresses and foundations to Hopeful Horizons

BEAUFORT COUNTY, S.C. — FWDG (Furniture Warehouse Design Gallery), a Lowcountry family-owned furniture and mattress destination, has donated over $35,000 worth of mattresses and foundations to Hopeful Horizons.

Donna Senica, FWDG’s CEO, says heling is something her organization is honored to do. At FWDG, we’ve been part of this community for 54 years, and we know that the strength of Beaufort lies in how we show up for one another. When we learned about the work Hopeful Horizons does every single day for women and children in some of the most difficult moments of their lives, we knew we had to do something meaningful. We are honored to partner with Shadricka, Rebecca, and the entire Hopeful Horizons team, and we hope this donation helps bring even a small sense of comfort and normalcy to families who deserve so much more.

Hopeful Horizons is a Beaufort nonprofit children’s advocacy, domestic violence and rape crisis center. The donation will directly benefit residents of Hopeful Horizons’ emergency shelter for women and children escaping domestic violence, as well as clients served through the organization’s Furnish a Future program.
