HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (WSAV) — The family of a woman killed in a deadly alligator attack on Hilton Head Island has settled their lawsuit against the Spanish Wells Club, their property owner’s association and the company that manages the community.
Sixty-nine-year-old Holly Jenkins was fatally attack by an alligator on July 4, 2023.
According to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO), Jenkins was found lying face down at the edge of a community pond by her husband and son. The alligator that attacked her, which was reportedly around 10 feet, was found nearby.
