SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – Four years ago on Memorial Day weekend, a deadly boat crash on the Wilmington River killed five people, including four members of the same family.
A grand jury has since indicted Mark Stegall on 18 charges in connection to the crash, including homicide by vessel, serious injury by vessel, and operating a vessel under the influence.
Chatham County prosecutors say Stegall was operating a boat on the Wilmington River while intoxicated, crashing into a boat traveling in the opposite direction.
