TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (WTOC) -Tybee Island was packed with visitors early Saturday morning as Memorial Day weekend got underway.
People from across the region made the trip to the island for the long weekend. The island was filled with Savannah locals and out-of-state visitors.
Wendy Allen, visiting from Tennessee, said the people keep her coming back.
“It’s the locals, they are so friendly you don’t meet a stranger and they treat you like family here,” Allen said. “Tybee is a welcoming place for everybody and I just really enjoy it.”…
