Since the 90s are back in style (again), it’s time to slather on some dark eyeliner, see if our old, ripped jeans still fit (hint; they don’t), wipe off the dust of these old Seattle Grunge records and pour one out for the homies who’ve passed away while we’re at it. I would say break out the flannel shirts, too, but let’s face it, out here in Washington, we’ve never stopped wearing FLANNEL!

The Best of the 90s: Seattle Grunge Music Changed the World

We still mourn the passing of Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain, Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell, Screaming Tree’s Mark Lanegan and Van Conner, Alice in Chains’ Layne Staley and Mike Starr, Malfunkshun and Mother Love Bone’s Andrew Wood, and Foo Fighter’s Taylor Hawkins.

Bands like Tad, Mother Love Bone, Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Nirvana will forever rest as ghosts of Seattle Grunge rock’s past.

These grunge rock legendary bands still live on; some are even touring today, including: Pearl Jam, Mudhoney, Melvins, Alice in Chains, and the Foo Fighters.
