A large apartment project is officially underway on NW Market St.
The project is for a new mixed-use development at 1740 NW Market St., where Holland Partner Group is pursuing an eight-story project with 239 apartments, 140 parking spaces, and ground-floor retail.
Ballard resident Jill Solomon lives just behind the project site and captured photos of the demolition yesterday.
The project site encompasses the former Ballard Blossom building and adjacent properties, where multiple businesses have recently closed or moved in anticipation of redevelopment.
