SEATTLE — When the FIFA World Cup comes to Seattle this summer, it will be unlike any other event the city has ever hosted, with crowds of soccer fans expected to look beyond the matches for ways to experience historic neighborhoods such as the Chinatown-International District.
“This is the first time we have ever done anything like this. Will the visitors find the CID? Will they come through the gate? We are preparing for something none of us have ever seen,” said Tuyen Than, executive director of the Chinatown-International District Business Improvement Area.
