SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – After multiple storms brought several rounds of flash flooding to the ArkLaTex in recent weeks, Shreveport’s mayor says a stretch of Youree Drive that often floods during heavy rain is intended to take on water to help protect nearby homes and buildings.
Reporter Marvin Andrade showed conditions on Youree Drive near Washington Street that were “clear and dry” at the time of the report but said the area flooded last week, with water covering the road and a car stranded, creating problems for drivers.
