Southern University at Shreveport unveils new center supporting young women in memory of donor’s daughter

SHREVEPORT, La. — Southern University at Shreveport unveiled a new program Thursday designed to help young women prepare for college and the workforce.

The college introduced the Dynastie Nicole Williams Legacy Center, established by Shreveport natives Tony and Tina Williams, who currently live in Arizona. The couple created the center in honor of their daughter, Dynastie, who died in April 2025 while acquiring her master’s degree at the university.
