America’s famous U.S. Air Force Band of the West has scheduled a free patriotic Labor Day concert in Shreveport as well as four other performances in Louisiana and eastern Texas next week.
The band’s “Steel of Resolve Tour” celebrates American unity 25 years after 9/11 beginning at 7 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium.
Lt. Drew Eary, who will conduct the 45-musician band during their performances, said the tour took its name from President George W. Bush’s famous quote following the 2001 terrorist attack: “These acts shatter steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve.”…
