SHREVEPORT, La. – Emergency crews responded to a major crash involving a school bus Tuesday morning in Shreveport that sent 20 people to local hospitals.
Caddo Parish 911 dispatchers received a mass casualty call around 7:40 a.m. after the bus collided with a car near the intersection of Peach Street and Freddie Street, located near Pine Grove Elementary School.
Investigating officers say a vehicle ran a stop sign and struck the school bus before hitting a tree. Approximately 60 people were on board the bus, including elementary, middle, and high school students.
First responders transported 20 people, including two adults, to area hospitals. Authorities confirmed there were no life-threatening injuries, with most victims receiving treatment for minor bumps, bruises, and sprained ankles…
