This mission forms the heart of Diva’s Empowerment Resource Center in Shreveport, a place where individuals and families are not just clients, but royalty—each with a crown that sometimes needs a little fixing. Penny’s journey began in Michigan in 2005, where her entrepreneurial spirit first took root. By 2007, she returned to her native Louisiana, bringing with her the seeds of what would eventually become a transformative community resource. In 2012, she established Diva’s Coaching and Consulting, a venture that would evolve into the Diva’s Empowerment Resource Center.
But why “Diva”? As Penny explains, “Diva” was a nickname her aunt bestowed upon her due to her dramatic flair, a trait that would later define her identity as Mz. Penny Diva, an author and life coach. This flair for the dramatic and a deep-seated passion for empowerment led Penny to create programs like ‘A Better Me,’ a 26-week initiative designed to facilitate personal growth and accountability.
