Ever thought about giving back to your community and getting something epic in return? That’s exactly how the Red River Revel came to be five decades ago when local volunteers, artists, and community organizers pooled their energy to build a premier Shreveport arts celebration.
This fall marks a massive milestone: the 50th Annual Red River Revel Arts Festival returns to Festival Plaza downtown from October 8th to 11th and October 15th to 18th, 2026.
“Revel 50 belongs to everyone who has ever volunteered a shift, sold a painting, played a stage, or brought their kids through the gates,” says Executive Director Logan Lewis. If you’ve ever wondered how to become a real part of one of Northwest Louisiana’s greatest traditions, the answer is simple: volunteer.
