SHREVEPORT, La. — From a giant Ferris wheel that made an appearance in Washington, D.C., to live music, rodeo competitions and Halloween festivities, the State Fair of Louisiana is preparing for its return to Shreveport Oct. 29 through Nov. 15.
Organizers say this year’s event will offer more than 55 carnival rides, over 100 food vendors and a variety of entertainment included with admission. The Louisiana Rodeo Cowboys Association (LRCA) Finals Rodeo will also return.
Among the featured attractions is the Freedom 250 Ferris Wheel, which previously appeared at the Great American State Fair on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
