Shreveport police warn against leaving firearms in vehicles due to uptick in gun thefts

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – If you’re the type of person who hides their firearm in the glove compartment or under the seat of your car, you might want to stop doing that. According to Shreveport police, burglars are on the hunt for guns. It doesn’t matter if your doors are locked or unlocked. They’ll smash your windows regardless to get the weapon. In fact, burglars will most likely leave all other valuables behind with the hopes of finding a gun.
