A Caddo Parish jury delivered a guilty verdict Thursday for a man charged with second-degree homicide in a case characterized by prosecutors as vengeance for stealing a motorbike.
Steven Darnell Davis, 49, will face mandatory life in court when he is sentenced May 21. He was convicted of the shooting death of Bre’Anna Hall, 20, on Aug. 4, 2023, in Shreveport’s Queensborough neighborhood.
According to the Caddo District Attorney’s Office, Davis posted on Facebook that he would kill the person who stole his minibike. That night, he and a friend pulled up behind a Lincoln SUV at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and San Jacinto Street. A juvenile had asked his sister, Bre’Anna Hall, to follow him “as he drove the minibike from the Martin Luther King neighborhood across town.”…
