SHREVEPORT, La. — The Highland Jazz and Blues Festival is mourning the loss of a local music icon.
Buddy Flett passed away after a long career as a remarkable blues musician. Flett was a staple of the Highland Jazz and Blues Festival. He performed at the event for 20 of its 21 years.
