Efforts to boost bus safety in Shreveport soon may be bolstered by updated rider regulations and a newly-defined criminal violation.
Shreveport is working to make riding its buses safer after a recent visit from federal transit authorities. Along with evolving plans to increase police responsiveness to bus route disturbances, the city now is moving to update its code to make public transit safer for drivers and riders.
