Kensington private school evacuated due to ‘major gas leak’

A Kensington private school was evacuated Thursday afternoon due to a major gas leak, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service radio transmissions.

Just before 2 p.m., MCFRS crews were dispatched to the area of Strathmore Avenue and Academy Park Drive for the leak in the gas line, which was 30 feet outside the school, according to radio transmissions.
