Feces, broken elevators and no AC: DC attorney general sues Ward 5 landlord

WASHINGTON (7News) — D.C.’s attorney general is suing the owner and manager of a Ward 5 affordable apartment building, alleging tenants have been left without air conditioning, working elevators and secure entryways amid widespread unsafe conditions.

Attorney General Brian Schwalb announced the lawsuit Tuesday against developer Buwa Binitie and companies tied to Delta Pearl, a 10-story, 166-unit building at 1400 Florida Avenue Northeast.
