Man killed in Southeast DC shooting, police seek information

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Police said that a man was killed in a Wednesday shooting in D.C.

Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the 2300 block of Pitts Place SE around 7:45 p.m. for a reported shooting.

DC police: Man fired gun at officers, officer fired back; no injuries reported

Responding officers found the victim, who had gunshot wounds. He was found unconscious and not breathing, and after all life-saving measures failed, he was pronounced dead.
