Thieves target Laurel cars, stealing airbags from 20 vehicles

LAUREL, Md. (DC News Now) — Police said that thieves broke into 20 cars in Laurel overnight on Tuesday.

The Laurel Police Department (LPD) said that around 4 a.m. on Wednesday, thieves stole 20 airbags from cars parked along 10 different streets in Laurel.

The thieves smashed windows to break into these cars, leaving a trail of broken glass behind them.

LPD said that as of Wednesday afternoon, most of the reported break-ins happened in the Old Town area…
