WASHINGTON (7News) — The man accused of shooting and killing a woman in Northwest, D.C., which sparked an hours-long search for her 2-year-old boy, was ordered held without bond Thursday on an upgraded murder charge.
A D.C. Superior Court judge found probable cause to hold Hakeem Jones, 28. He was initially charged with second-degree murder for the killing of Jamillah Gales, 25, then the U.S. Attorney’s Office for D.C. filed a charge Thursday for first-degree murder while armed.
