SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A missing juvenile from Springfield, SD was found dead in the Missouri River Wednesday morning.
According to the Bon Homme County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday evening, the sheriff’s office received a report of a missing juvenile. Authorities say that during the investigation, it was determined that the juvenile likely entered the Missouri River near the Springfield Marina.

The SD Game Fish and Parks and Springfield Fire Department were called out to assist the Sheriff’s Office and Police Department in the search. SDGFP used a sonar side-scan sonar to scan the riverbed and captured an image believed to be a person. The Yankton County Search and Rescue team was called for assistance.
