SPOKANE, Wash. β Spokane Public Schools is extending emergency services through Wednesday, Aug. 12, for families impacted by recent fires, according to a statement from the district.
A free emergency drop-in camp for children ages 4 and older runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily at Shadle Park High School with lunch provided. The camp is offered in partnership with Project Camp, YMCA of the Inland Northwest, Skyhawks and City of Spokane Parks and Recreation.
The Disaster Assistance Center at Shadle Park High School is open through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The center accepts gift card donations to stores and restaurants, which are identified as the most immediately useful items for affected families.
