Fire damages part of brewery in downtown Spokane over the weekend

SPOKANE, Wash. — Firefighters responded to a fire at Lumberbeard Brewing early Sunday morning around 4 am. When they got there, they say there was a fire on the roof. Firefighters were eventually able to contain it, but it damaged most of the brewery’s in house office.

The office sustained heavy damage, with parts of the ceiling left hanging and ash and debris scattered inside and outside of it, in the tasting room.

Bret Gordon, part-owner of Lumberbeard Brewing, received a call that there was a fire around 4:30 a.m. He says by the time he arrived at the brewery, firefighters had already put it out…
