It’s back to school today for Spokane Public Schools. SPR’s Lisa Leinberger went to Indian Trail Elementary School to learn how it’s preparing for students who have been impacted by the Spokane Complex fires.
Melissa Skindlov is a parent and guest teacher at Indian Trail Elementary school. She knows there is a lot of work ahead for the community after the Spokane Complex fires. For the last month, she has been helping to deliver donations to families in need.
She says the first day of school couldn’t come at a better time for the students to spend some time with each other.…
