‘Star Trek’ star Gary Graham dead at 73: ‘This was sudden’

“Star Trek” and “Alien Nation” star Gary Graham has died. He was 73.

Graham died of cardiac arrest at a hospital in Spokane, Washington on Monday, his wife of nearly 25 years, Becky Graham, told the Hollywood Reporter .

Graham is best known for his role as Ocampan community leader Tanis on “Star Trek: Voyager,” as Vulcan ambassador Soval on “Star Trek: Enterprise” and as First Officer Ragnar in “Star Trek: Of Gods and Men” and “Star Trek: Renegades.”

He also played Detective Matthew Sikes in the television series “Alien Nation” in 1989. He resumed the role in five subsequent television movies: “Alien Nation: Dark Horizon” (1994), “Alien Nation: Body and Soul” (1995), “Alien Nation: Millennium” (1996), “Alien Nation: The Enemy Within” (1996), and “Alien Nation: The Udara Legacy” (1997).

The veteran actor’s ex-wife, Susan Lavelle, also announced his death with a touching tribute on Facebook .
