Spokane woman convicted of vehicular homicide after 2021 crash.

SPOKANE, Wash. — Today, in Spokane County Superior Court, the jury found Selina M. Juarez (30) guilty of vehicular homicide from an accident that occurred in 2021.

On the morning of June 22, 2021, officers responded to E. Trent Ave and N. Napa St. around 3:00 a.m.

According to the Spokane Police Department (SPD), Juarez crashed into a fire hydrant.

The car then impacted a rail car before coming to rest

The passenger, Brandon McDonald (42), was declared dead at the scene.

Collision reconstructionissts from the Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene due to the severity of the collision and the resultant death.

According to SPD, Juarez’s blood alcohol level was found to be .10.

Lab results also showed marijuana and cocaine in her system.

Juarez is scheduled to be sentenced in March.
