No one was hurt, but the damage forced several shops to stay closed while the tally on repairs and losses begins, and the neighborhood is on edge about what might come next.

What happened

According to KHOU, the early-morning burglary spree hit nine different storefronts along the Nottingham Street corridor in quick succession. The station’s footage shows stunned owners stepping around broken glass, talking through what was stolen and how long it might take to get doors back open while they sweep, tape, and board their way through the aftermath.
