SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Springfield homeowner and military veteran says what started as an offer to repair hail damage turned into a costly lesson — but now, a local roofing company is stepping in to help free of charge.
Following last month’s hailstorm in Springfield, Randy Craig, a disabled veteran, said a crew approached him offering a roof estimate shortly after the storm.
