U-Haul says Springfield crash was staged for insurance fraud

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — U-Haul is suing six Missourians in Greene County Circuit Court, claiming a 2023 crash on Kansas Expressway was not an accident but a staged collision meant to generate fraudulent insurance claims.

According to online court dockets, U-Haul Co. of Missouri and U-Haul Co. of Arizona filed the petition against Deiona Johnson, Lencorya Grady, Bryce Gerald, Nariyah Hamilton, Bobby Anderson and Anthony Cal.
