Second pedestrian dies from injuries in Springfield crash

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – A second pedestrian has died from injuries sustained in a Springfield crash last week.

William Turner, 28, of Springfield, died Sunday from injuries he sustained in a May 21 vehicle crash. Turner is the second of two pedestrians involved in that incident who were killed. Christian Berry, 32, of Springfield, also died from his injuries in the crash.

On May 21 at 9:52 p.m., officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash involving pedestrians at the intersection of Chestnut Expressway and Grant Avenue. A 17-year-old was driving a 2018 Dodge Charger eastbound on Chestnut Expressway when the driver hit two pedestrians crossing the road.
