Springfield Restaurant Week kicks off Friday with more than a dozen local eateries

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -Springfield Restaurant Week begins Friday and runs through July 19, featuring more than a dozen local restaurants and a charitable giving component tied to each meal.

The Missouri Restaurant Association (MRA) is hosting the inaugural event, which spans 9 days and includes exclusive menus, featured dishes, limited-time specials, and unique dining experiences at participating establishments. A portion of the proceeds from each meal will benefit Ozarks Food Harvest and the Missouri Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (MRAEF).

“That’s the whole intention there is to make it a sort of a win-win-win,” said Mike Burris, Executive Director of the Missouri Restaurant Association. “So the restaurants get a little extra business, the customers get a great deal and a great meal, and then we give back to the community.”
