SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A new report ranks Missouri fourth in the nation for weekend motorcycle fatalities, prompting renewed calls from law enforcement for both drivers and riders to prioritize safety.
The study, conducted by Missouri-based law firm Beck & Beck using data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, found Missouri averages 72 weekend motorcycle deaths each year — more than any of its eight neighboring states.
