SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -The hum of lawnmowers and crews hard at work is a familiar sound of summer. But as the calendar moves forward, daylight steadily shrinks, and that can cut into the workday for businesses that rely on being outside.
Jessie Edwards, who owns Edwards Lawn Service, said shorter fall and winter days often mean crews have to move faster to finish jobs before it gets dark.
“During that time of the year, we’re having to rush things and get back a lot faster to the shop,” said Jessie Edwards of Edwards Lawn Service.
