SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3)— A Springfield man is fighting for his life after his family says he was seriously hurt while trying to help at a crash scene on I-44 near Miami, Oklahoma, on Sunday, July 12.
Family members of Dylan Hoyt said Dylan was traveling back home from street racing, eastbound on I-44 in Oklahoma, when they came across an overturned tractor-trailer westbound.
According to Dylan’s mother, Melissa Hartsell, her son and his friends stopped to help the truck driver. While they were near the crash, another semi-truck crashed into the scene, sending Dylan to the hospital…
