KOLR 10 Investigates accountability for bad business deals under the law

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Over the course of the last year, KOLR 10 Investigates interviewed several people who have filed lawsuits against business owners for shady work and despite winning the lawsuits, they haven’t been paid the money courts say they deserve.

KOLR 10 Investigates is looking into what can be done to hold people accountable under the law.

Recent coverage

Last summer we brought you the story of Queen City Rod and Custom and its shop manager Reed Arnold, who’s facing three new lawsuits since December.

Then last week we told you about Brian Sides, the man from Branson accused of ripping off elderly people. Sides has been sued three times in the last year.

Duane Smith filed one of those lawsuits. He and his wife are suing Brian and his wife after the couples became business partners in a luxury RV park venture in Mountain Home.

“There has to be a way to stop these people from continuing this pattern and hurting people for long periods of time,” said Smith. “Because people are getting hurt.”
