Final Day of Storms Sees Hail Pelt the Ozarks

The final round of storms hitting the Ozarks Tuesday again had the most punch outside the Lakes Region though large hail did pelt part of the region.

Reports to the National Weather Service indicates inch to two and a half inch hail fell in areas around Barry County in Missouri while in Arkansas, officials at Jasper Schools reported egg size hail fell around their facilities. Areas east of there around Hasty also reported two inch hail.

The biggest hail damage was along the Highway 60 corridor between Aurora and Springfield were thousands of vehicles received hail damage as up to four inch or softball size hail fell.
