Second two-alarm fire in one day strikes Park Hill apartment building in Staten Island; 1 injured

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Residents were forced from their homes for the second time Tuesday after a two-alarm fire broke out at a six-story apartment building in the Park Hill section of Clifton.

The fire was reported at about 8:30 p.m. on the fourth floor of 55 Bowen St., near the intersection of Targee Street and Sobel Court, according to an FDNY spokesperson.

More than 140 FDNY firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene. One resident suffered minor injuries and was transported to Northwell Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze.
