Staten Island man charged with attempted murder for firing gun in West Brighton

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A 42-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly firing a gun outside a business in West Brighton.

Mohamed Suleiman of Maine Avenue in Westerleigh also is accused of using a metal table to injure a victim in a separate domestic incident.

The criminal complaint alleges that Suleiman stood on the sidewalk, pointed a gun at the victim and fired on Monday, June 1, at about 8:30 a.m. in front of 539 Cary Ave. between Elizabeth and Caroline streets…
