D.A. McMahon calls for UPS boycott over ‘unjust’ Staten Island delivery practices

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The UPS acronym might better stand for “Unjust Parcel Service” on Staten Island, District Attorney Michael McMahon suggested Tuesday.

At a morning press conference with State Sen. Jessica Scarcella-Spanton and the residents of the Park Hill and Fox Hill apartments, Staten Island’s top prosecutor called for a borough-wide boycott of the United Parcel Service over its unfair delivery practices at the two complexes.

Anytime residents of the complexes’ nearly-1,500 units receive a package delivery from UPS, they’re forced to make their way to the front of 240 Park Hill Ave. to receive the shipment, and it’s been that way for over 30 years…
