NEW YORK (PIX11) — After the gorgeous Wednesday, the heat and humidity are making a gradual comeback for the rest of the week in the tri-state region.
The humidity will climb on Thursday, along with the risk of thunderstorms. By Friday, the heat index will be well into the 90s.

Skies will be generally clear for Wednesday night. The humidity will creep upward as temperatures drop into the upper 60s.
Temperatures will climb back into the mid-80s on Thursday, but the humidity will climb as well, making it feel like around 90 degrees in the afternoon. The chance of some thunderstorms will also come back as an area of low pressure slides through the region, but the severe threat looks to stay well south of the tri-state region…
