STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A video circulating on social media shows the moment a 12-year-old boy on a stand-up electric scooter was hurled into the air after colliding with a vehicle on the borough’s South Shore.
The doorbell camera footage, obtained by The Advance/SILive.com, shows a 2019 Nissan Murano colliding with the boy near the intersection of Benson Street and Kenilworth Avenue in Greenridge. Emergency crews responded to the incident at about 4:45 p.m. on July 30.
