STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Until now, the teenager charged in the 2023 death of 13-year-old Jamoure Harrell at a playground in Stapleton had not been identified, due to his age at the time of the shooting.
But on Thursday, Judge Raymond Rodriguez denied youth offender status, before sentencing the defendant to 15 years incarceration and five years of post-release supervision. The sentence was in exchange for a previously arranged plea agreement.
